Meet the SPEAKER
Shivani Bose-Varela is the Grants Information Act Program Manager for the California State Library, where she led a team to build a tool that provides a centralized location for grantseekers to find California state grant opportunities and for state grantmakers to submit the information. Previously, Shivani was a Digital Services Coordinator at the California Department of Technology, where she worked on high visibility projects with great impact on the State of California. Shivani’s passion to make a difference in the state government led her to start her career with the Office of Governor in 2010, where she served in various roles throughout both administrations. Shivani serves on NxtGov and Asian Pacific State Employees Association executive board, and is a graduate of University of California, Davis.
