About this event

Thrive OnBoard is the ultimate event for those looking to join a nonprofit board! Join us at the CZI Community Space on Wednesday, April 23, from 3:30 - 6:30 pm for an evening filled with insightful workshops, networking opportunities, and amazing nonprofits. Whether you're a seasoned board member or just starting out, this event is designed to help you make a great match. This program is being offered as part of the Thriving Nonprofit Workforce Initiative, guided by our TNWI Steering Committee with support from The Chan Zuckerberg Initiative, and the Hispanic Foundation of Silicon Valley.

We encourage you to take a moment to watch our OnBoard 2024 video created by The Pixelmakers that showcases the powerful moments and impactful connections made throughout the day. Last year at OnBoard 2024, we were fortunate to have 50 incredible local nonprofits exhibiting at the event, along with record attendance from participants looking for opportunities to serve on a nonprofit board. Don't miss out on this chance to connect with the community and take your service to the next level. See you there!

We're excited to welcome a diverse array of board candidates, including:

  • Graduates of the Latino Board Leadership Academy
  • Individuals with lived experience
  • Alumni from national universities and local community colleges
  • Graduates of local leadership programs
  • Business professionals and tech industry leaders
