Candidate Questions and Education Summit: Outlining Goals & Outcomes

Thrive invites our nonprofit friends to share ideas, questions, and desired outcomes as we plan two big events for this February: the Choose Children Candidate Forum and the Summit for Partnerships in Education. 

Thrive, along with Silicon Valley Community Foundation's Choose Children Initiative, will be hosting a candidate forum with a narrow focus on children and families. This Children & Education TAG will be an opportunity to share the questions you would like to hear at the County Board of Supervisors Choose Children Forum in early February. We will also have a primer on the differences in responsibilities between the Office of Education and the Board of Supervisors. 

*Election begins February 5 and the last day to vote is March 5. Candidates from district races will be invited to attend the Choose Children Candidate Forum.

We are also pleased to be holding our Summit for Partnerships in Education: Elevating Racial Equity on February 15. We would like to hear from you about your goals and desired outcomes for the Summit as we plan the speakers and sessions with our partners at the San Mateo County Office of Education.
